For those of you who found yourself here and are not familiar with my work, WELCOME! Here is a little bit about me. I am a developmental psychologist and the mother of two daughters. I’m also the Co-Founder of SeedlingsGroup and the Mount Sinai Parenting Center and Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

I’ve sought to help real parents with their daily struggles based on the incredible wealth of research in the field of child development. I am passionate that research belongs off the shelf and directly in the hands of those who benefit from it – whether it’s parents or their healthcare providers. But research can feel overwhelming and hard to translate. That’s how I can help.

I want to keep one foot in the research and one foot deeply rooted in how these studies can apply to our parenting reality. I don’t want to be anyone’s parenting guru. Parenting is not a religion and anyone who tells you otherwise is crossing the line between support and finger wagging. Parenting is personal and vulnerable. And there is no one answer or solution. This is a journey and we are all in it to raise healthier children and help our families thrive.

I started the Raising Good Humans Podcast to find a new way to bring the research and its practical applications to as many willing listeners as possible, and to share and translate the work of many of my incredible colleagues. I read the studies and the books so you don’t have to. I ask the questions that I know you would ask, and I leave lots of room for you to find what works best for your family.

And so, a new platform. I want more access to YOU, the very folks who want to understand and support their own mission to raise good humans. YOU, the people thinking about what kind of role and approach they want to take in caring for their children. YOU, someone who is rethinking and revising old beliefs and habits. And, YOU, a student eager to learn about the science that can help you feel more empowered in your decision making.

My life's work is to translate the science, participate in the discussion, and bring you content that has been filtered for the REALITY of every day parenting. And I want to make sure you have access in all kinds of ways – whether a quick quote, an article, a podcast episode, or a LIVE Q&A that gives the opportunity for the “and then what?” discussion.

Parenting takes a village. We used to have a village. Then we became more isolated in society, grew more shame around our parenting and put more pressure for perfection. Now more than ever we are isolated in our experience. BUT WE DON’T HAVE TO BE. I receive hundreds of questions a week on my Instagram DM’s, and while I try to answer some each month on the podcast and in videos, and choose guests and topics that align with the questions and needs of this community, PEOPLE WANT A DEEPER DIVE, a NEW MEDIUM and a MORE INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE.

I want this new community to be the place where you can:

  • GET MY TAKE, based on my vast experience, my training and my own parenting reality. I haven’t done that before, and I’m excited to try it here.

  • GET QUESTIONS ANSWERED, through LIVE Q&A’s each week for premium subscribers.

  • GET PRACTICAL TIPS AND BONUS CONTENT, for when you can’t listen to the podcast or remember what was said, or just plain need a bullet point list! Premium subscribers get deep dives on each week's episode and additional recordings from the cutting room floor.

  • HEAR DIVERSE VOICES, like the brilliant voices, thinkers, and feelers from my past and present, whose ideas give you the opportunity to find what works best for you and your family.

Join me here, and let’s get started together.

In gratitude,
